January 19 Den Haag Day Trip

Den Haag or The Hague is the capital of the Netherlands. We took a day trip to see the art gallery, Mauritshuis, and to visit Inge’s family.

Amsterdam Centraal Station

We met up with Inge’s parents, Ria and Jos, who showed us the way.

The Mauritshuis is next to the Parliament buildings. The oldest Parliament building:

Mauritshuis was originally a mansion of a very successful military figure, who was also a governor of a colony in Brazil:

Lunch at the Mauritshuis:

Inge’s sister Suzanne lives in Den Haag. We had a short visit with her and her children Josephine who is 3, and Jaap who is almost 6 months.
