Half day in London

Took a taxi to Barcelona airport since it was closer to Sitges than to go to Barcelona.

Arrived in London just after noon then hopped on the DLR to go into the city but found the service suspended at Canning Town, which is still in the extreme east end of London. We had to take the replacement buses which took us to areas we had never thought to visit and hope never to be in again.

We walked the short distance from Tower Gateway stop to Tower Hotel, not surprisingly, next to the Tower of London.

The view from our hotel room.

We met up with Robin and got a tour of the area where he is living, Wapping.

Dinner was at Skylon restaurant near the National Theatre with a view of the Thames. Robin wanted a window side table.
