I think I wrote we’re on the 4th floor, but it’s the 5th, so the kitchen is on the 6th level and the terrace is on the 7th.
This is looking northwest towards what I think is called the Garfagnana mountains or hills.
This is looking southwest to the Cathedral of Santa Maria dei Fiori, usually just called Il Duomo for the dome built by Brunelleschi.
And here’s the terrace. It was mild enough to drink coffee out here just wearing a sweater. The Palazzo
Vecchio is the tower in the middle, the site where Michelangelo’s David, actually a reproduction, sits in front.
Dinner on Christmas eve was at Cantinetta Antinori, where we had been in 2007 and liked it so returned this time.
