Calgary has no direct flights to Rome in October so I flew via Toronto. I had a 7+ hour layover. That’s long enough I could head out of the airport but getting through traffic and security seemed too much hassle. I decided to just stay at the airport.
My flight to Toronto was delayed. In this case, that was not unwelcome as it reduced the time waiting in Toronto.

A layover at Pearson airport can be more tolerable in Air Canada’s Signature Suite business class lounge but it’s closed for the next two months as it is undergoing renovation. Just my luck!
The other Air Canada lounge is not as upscale (particularly for food) but the seating is plentiful and comfortable.

But it still is a long time. I finished a novel and started an art history book.

Ate some not very good food and sketched a bit

Looking forward to sleeping on the flight across the Atlantic.
