I arrived a few hours ahead of Sidney. Weather was warm and humid. This is our hotel room for two nights:

Potsdamer Platz with a lot of new buildings

Brandenberg Gate or Brandenberg Tor. It is the symbol of Berlin:
Area where World Cup matches are on a giant screen called Fan Zone — sounds English not German, it’s right behind the Brandenberg Tor

Food and of course, beer stalls for the fans.
I stopped for lunch and got out of the rain

then wandered around some more
