Bar hopping with friends in New Orleans

We started our day by going to the spa at the Ritz Carlton Hotel, then met 4 friends from Calgary for lunch at Mr. B’s Bistro.

After lunch, we headed out for a tour of the French Quarter and its bars.  Below Pat O’Briens where the specialty is Hurricanes. We got ours to go.

As long as your drink is in a plastic cup, you’re allowed to drink alcohol on public streets.

Next stop was a gay bar where they didn’t seem happy to see us, so no photos.
Then a quasi Irish bar:

By 5 pm, it was time to return to our respective hotels to rest and recharge. Before dinner, Scott, our friend Kim and I visited a few more bars.

All the drinking was taking its toll on my memory. I can’t recall what anyone else ate and I forgot my camera at the restaurant. They kindly called to let us know it was found.
