Road to Glasgow

Donald drove us from Kinloch Lodge to Armadale to take the ferry to Maillaig on the mainland.

The ferry left at 10:35 and took 30 minutes to cross.
As we crossed we could see the small isles to the south: Rhum, Canna, Eig, Muck.
Maillaig
Not much to see in Maillaig. As we drove away, we could see the white sands of Morar.
We stopped at the Glenfinnan monument and could see the Glenfinnan via duct used in the Harry Potter movies. But it was too rainy to walk.

Allie and the viaduct

We drove onto Ft. William where it was raining even harder. We had a quick lunch at the West Highland Centre. We stopped briefly at Glencoe Visitors Centre.

Drove near the West Higland Way hiking trail and through Rannoch moor which is a very bleak looking, boggy area.

We arrived in Glasgow at 4:30 at Bewleys Hotel. We said goodbye to Donald, then had dinner at Sartis, where we went in 2003. Robin left Skye after us as he and Katie waited to meet up with Katie’s parents who were taking Katie for more vacation in Scotland. Robin follow us to Glasgow later but his train was late so we met up with him after dinner.
