Train to Edinburgh

After breakfast, we went to a kilt shop so Scott could order kilt material which would be mailed to him in Calgary.

We looked around a bit of Inverness. There’s a pathway along the river and Inverness Castle, a Victorian era building made to look medieval.

We tried to get an early lunch but couldn’t find somewhere to serve food before noon. We had a beer at a pub and some crisps but left to pick up our bags from the B & B before food service started. At the train station we bought sandwiches from a cafe to take with us on the train.

From the train, we got a good view of the Firth of Forth.

We arrived at Waverley station at 4:10. We took a taxi to Ronnie and Kim’s where we were staying.
