Quarto giornata: a Roma

Not much to describe for this day. I left my Tivoli B&B, Residenze Gregoriane, if I didn’t mention in an earlier post.

This is the breakfast room:

On my last day I was seated in the room they use for the bar. There are only three tables in the breakfast room but I think there are four bedrooms.

This was my bedroom.

I arrived in Rome before I could get into my apartment so I stored my luggage and walked around to see where the nearby grocery stores were located. I also did a little re-familiarizing myself with the area.

I had a long slow lunch in Maio on top of the Rinascente store so I could look at Borromini’s Sant’Andrea delle Fratte and stay out of the rain.

With lots of time to look, I thought the architecture was even more interesting than I had realized when looking at photos. The oblong convex curve on the part directly in front of me as shown on the below photo is very unusual.

All afternoon it rained off and on, sometimes quite hard, as I settled into the apartment, bought groceries and eventually, made myself dinner to rest my tired feet and avoid going out and getting wet again. No photos of that.
