Not much to write about today.
I was back to my Italian class. We have three new people including a 27-year-old woman, born in San Diego, but from Mexico where her family lives just 10 minutes away. We were paired off and had to talk to each other about music. We have NO music in common but she did know who Celine Dion is. In fact, everyone in the class knew Celine although some didn’t know she’s Canadian. I had no clue about any Mexican musicians. Nor did I know the Dutch and Swiss singers the other students named. The American in the class said Bruno Mars. At least I know who he is.
In the afternoon, we went to Santa Croce. It was 24 degrees (celsius)—too warm in the sunshine for me.

I wrote about Santa Croce when I went on September 8. Didn’t post a photo of Michelangelo’s tomb so here it is below. It’s a monument to him by Giorgio Vasari, but after the flood of 1966, bones went drifting around, so who knows where Michelangelo’s bones are today? Likely they are no longer under the monument.

My previous visit to Santa Croce was 35 days ago. I am now almost halfway through my stay in Europe and almost 2/3 through my stay in Florence. Where did the time go?
