Taxi from Linate airport to Hotel Milano Scala took less than 30 minutes. Most of the drive was negotiating across the centro storico, the historic city centre.

I’m staying in a single room. It’s tiny.

View from the room.

Went for a stroll just to stay awake. It’s rainy and 19 but feels warm and humid. I looked in an art supply store near the Pinacoteca di Brera.
I forgot to take a photo of the pappardelle I had for dinner—house made and pretty good. But here’s my first gelato in Italy.

The raspberries were particularly good.
The restaurant had three dogs at various tables. I tried to sneak a photo of one table with a puppy who yipped from time to time. The woman in green is petting the puppy in the arms of the guy in brown.

This restaurant did not have great wines by the glass. This was very young. I was surprised they included a tip in the total bill. I wonder if this is a new thing in Italy or just Milan.

I was too tired to try another glass of wine. Maybe tomorrow I can find better wine.
