It must have been lockdown that kept me from posting about our last Cancun trip. As I have been trying to fix failed photo uploads, I saw nothing in 2020 although we managed to go to Cancun. It was not special, just an escape from the snow and cold. I don’t even have many photos.
What I remember the most was that I had a very bad head cold and by February 2020, the news about COVID 19 was becoming a daily issue. As I boarded our plane, I tried hard to keep my coughing and nose blowing to a minimum lest anyone think I had COVID. Little did I know what was to ensue after our return in late February.
Our main concern at the time was our dog, Hobbes, who was almost 14 years old, the upper end for Standard Poodles, and who also had cancer.

We stayed at Sandos Cancun, an all inclusive resort in Cancun that had adult only areas. We really did not do much.

We spent every late morning and afternoon on the beach mainly in the cabanas while I tried to dry out my cold, work on my Italian homework and generally rest and relax. I was too sick to go running on the beach. We had been to Cancun before so did not even venture into the town.

Scott swam in the choppy ocean but I mainly waded or dipped in the swimming pool.

The advantage of an all inclusive resort are the drinks brought poolside or at your cabana.

Of course, ring shopping by Scott happened.
