Our only plan for our last hours in Toledo was to have brunch then get to Detroit.
Looking at the Maumee River as we enjoyed brunch.

The first part worked well and we arrived in Detroit with 2 hours before we flew. Then as we were heading to the boarding gate, we thought we heard the Toronto flight was leaving from a new gate. We checked the Air Canada app and the airport departure board and instead of gate 24, it showed 25 but we thought we heard gate 3. I hurried ahead and saw gate 24 showed our flight. Scott caught up with me and we waited. We heard there was a delay but after a while, they called Scott. They said the flight was about to leave and we hadn’t boarded. It was leaving from 3 and the gate had closed and wouldn’t wait for us.
Scott explained he had surgery early the next morning but the flight left without us.
They rebooked us through Montreal but now we would be arriving more than 3.5 hours later than expected. Allie was travelling by train to meet us.

I had to cancel our dinner reservation. We arrived in Montreal and used wheelchair assistance for Scott which speeded us through customs. We parked ourselves next to the gate for the Toronto flight.

Of course leaving from Montreal was delayed.

We arrived 6 hours later than planned.
