Campo de’Fiori quiet at 8 am.

Sidney had never seen the Capitoline Museums so we made a visit.

The terrace that overlooks the Imperial Forums is one of the big draws.

We also looked at the Pinacoteca where there are two Caravaggios but one was on loan.

Other works:

Other rooms in the museums:

The antique bronze statues were mostly gathered into one room.

We strolled back to the Campo de’Fiori area and stopped for lunch at Emma’s.

Sidney and I had pizza.
Our afternoon was at the Palazzo Farnese which does not allow photos because of security for the French Embassy. We were screened before we could enter the building and then lead by a guide. We were shown the Grand Salon designed by Michelangelo and the two rooms frescoed by Annibale Carracci and workshop. Carracci died before completing the second room. The second room depicts mythological scenes on a theme of love, a strange subject for a cardinal who became Pope Paul III.
From there we visited a pharmacy to get more drugs for people with colds. Then stopped for pre dinner drinks in the Ghetto area.
Dinner was at Al Pompiere where I could get carciofo alla giudia.
