The day after Christmas in Italy is Santo Stefano day, a holiday but museums are open.
After breakfast, we first went to Sant’Andrea al Quirinale, a church designed by Bernini.

We then went to Palazzo Barberini.

Two Caravaggios.

Raphael

El Greco

Not too crowded under the ceiling by da Cortona.

Lunch near the Tritone fountain at Signor Vino.

After lunch, Inge, Robin and I decided to use our Barberini ticket at the included museum at Galleria Corsini while the others decided to go for gelato and then stroll around the Imperial Forums (except Scott who went for an afternoon nap).

We crossed the Tiber River.

Unfortunately, the Corsini’s Caravaggio was on loan in Shanghai and in its stead was a painting that the Gallery did not even bother to label.

The Corsini isn’t too large but holds quite a few objects.

For dinner we went to Giano, which describes itself as modern Sicilian cuisine.

Lemon sauce, tuna bottarga, grouper carpaccio, breadcrumbs
