Calgary to London via Montréal: the downside of using points

Despite booking six months in advance, no direct flights from Calgary to London were available using Aeroplan points. So I have an almost seven hour layover in Montréal at Pierre Elliott Trudeau airport.

I could go into the city, but instead, I am going hang out at the airport, figure out how to work this blog on my iPad, read my books on my iPad, and maybe get a bit of exercise walking around–or maybe I’ll just nap after getting up at 2:30 am.

I dislike the travel part of travelling. Arriving some where distant–yes! Getting transported–no. So tedious waiting around and strapped in uncomfortable seats, even in business class. And this time, a long layover on a grey day.
