Farewell Berlin

For our last few hours in Berlin, we walked to Museum Island. The northern half of the island in the Spree River has five museums built during the 19th century. It also has the Berlin Cathedral or Berlin Dom, that is not actually a cathedral since it is the largest Protestant church in Berlin.

The queues were very long so we’ll have to look inside the museums another time.

This city will look differently in a few years, There’s so much building and restoration going on. We could count 24 cranes just around Museum Island:

Taxi to Tegel airport took less than 30 minutes. Then we were off to Vienna:

One night at the airport hotel, then Simba is going home:
