Wednesday to the Vatican

After walking between 7 to 10 miles each of the past five days, we opted for a slow morning. We had a hearty breakfast then went to Carapino, a new gelateria originally from Florence:

Walking near St. Peter’s, we could see there were still a lot of people and it was taking a long time to get anywhere.

We stopped for a small bite expecting it would be almost 6 hours before we would get food again.  And we had some wine:

We then met our docent and her assistant and headed to the Vatican Museums:

Went to dinner at a Michelin star restaurant where Scott modelled his new purchase.

The photos of the meal were added years later so I cannot recall the dishes.

Back at the apartment on our last night.
