Giornata 77: Notre-Dame de Paris e nostro figlio e nostra nuora

Walked to Notre-Dame in the very chilly morning.

There seems to be stands for viewing the church.

Admission into Notre-Dame is free but you can reserve a time to avoid the long queues.

But first we went for a quick lunch on Ile St Louis and to get warm.

It looks strange to see the interior so clean.

Scott went back to the hotel for a nap. I went to buy a toque at Samaritaine.

Across the street is Saint Germaine l’Auxerrois, a Gothic church. It was open so I went inside.

Areas of the church have flamboyant Gothic architectural elements.

Some of the stained glass windows look modern (and damaged).

I sketched a bit of ceiling with flamboyant Gothic arches.

In the late afternoon we were joined by our son Robin and daughter-in-law Inge. We had dinner at Le Saint Sebastien, recommended by David Lebovitz among others. I forgot my phone so I will have to get photos from others to add later.
