The inside of Santa Maria Maggiore, one of the, if not the oldest surviving church in Florence.

We made a day trip to Greve in Chianti, which is about 30 km southwest of Florence in the middle of Chianti wine region. Saturday is market day in the main square.

A little walk up some steep streets gets you a nice view

The real highlight is the medieval village of Montefiorelle, which has only 18-20 inhabitants. It is about a 30 minute very steep walk or a less than 10 minute drive. I opted for the latter after having a bite of lunch.

Returned to rain in Florence so after a quick grocery shop that ended any further ventures for the day.
