I’m now more than halfway through my European sojourn and I have only 25 more days in Florence!

I listed the seven things I most want but have not yet seen in Florence and marked them on a map. Most have limited hours when they are open and the information on the internet is inconsistent. One site is a 45-minute walk (according to Google maps) and it not even on the map. I’m in class until 12:30 Mondays to Fridays, I have only one weekend solo without plans. (I may leave a class or two early :-))

After class, I thought I would go to Cenacolo Santo Spirito. It’s close but you have to buy tickets at other locations. One is Museo Stefano Bardini, which I walk past going to class. I discovered Museo Bardini is only open Fridays. So I went to the next closest ticket office, Palazzo Vecchio.
One attendant there said they don’t sell those tickets but another said that they did. So I bought my ticket and realized the Cenacolo Santo Spirito is only open Mondays and Saturdays, and not Mondays to Saturdays. But I could buy a ticket and use it whenever I wanted.

After that effort, I went to a gelateria I had not yet tried, Carabé, a Sicilian gelato shop that specializes in granita, shaved flavoured ice. The cioccolato di Antonio and nocciola were gelato, not granita, but both tasted like they had little milk in them which gave them very clean flavours.

I was near Santissima Annunziata so went to find the view I painted. It was something like this:

I also looked at Caffé Verona at the Ospedale degli Innocenti. It would be nice to come back for a meal.

I walked down Via della Pergola, where we stayed for Christmas 2009. I think one of these doors was for the apartment.

Back through the crowds near Ponte Vecchio.

Popped into Santa Felicità to take a photo of the Medici private box for the church which is just off the Vasari Corridor. I could see people in the Corridor taking photos.

I think I have caught the cold that is going around the school. I made myself chicken soup while trying to figure out a schedule for going to see sights on my list.
