The Gulf of Tiguillio has the Cinque Terre at one end and Portofino at the other. We headed to Portofino by first taking the bus to Santa Margherita Ligure, 9 miles away. Like Rapallo it is considered a suburb of Genoa.

I survived the swerving, ups and downs of the ride. We did a brief walk around the centre of Santa Margherita Ligure.

Most of the group walked the 5 km to Portofino but it was raining and Scott was feeling all the walking from the day before so we took a taxi. Portofino is not big but popular among those who have large yachts. Lots of high end designer stores around the main piazza.

A brief walk took us around the main piazza so we found a spot out of the rain for coffee and then another for lunch.

Rode the ferry back (and I did not get seasick)

After an art class, we went to a wine, olive oil, focaccia, pesto, cheese and balsamic vinegar tasting.
