Another slowish morning but we eventually went for a walk along the Aurelian wall.



This was just an excuse to get the jet lagged out into the fresh air and sunshine. So we followed by a long, slow, yet light lunch at Harry’s Bar which promotes its association with Hollywood celebrities


In the later afternoon, while Allie, Carmen and Sid went for a wander and Scott went for a nap, I did laundry then treated myself to a gelato from Come It Latte. This might be number one.

We did an evening/late afternoon Borghese Gallery visit with a Context Travel docent, Laura.


The Galleria Borghese is a must see on our every visit to Rome. I have written about it and included photos from past visits: here and here
The highlights:




Three Caravaggios were absent as they were on loan. But I saw a Parmigianino that I don’t recall seeing here.

Scott, Sidney and I have tickets to return in January so I hope we will be able to look at the Rubens exhibition which is currently at the Gallery as well as other works we did not have time to see before herded out.

Our dinner was at Moma ristorante a Michelin star restaurant but described as “unstuffy”.
