The background is our snow filled backyard. Look at the height of the snow on the table!  How can I wear my new shoes in this weather?  This morning the temperature was -26!!!  I’m not going out of the house until it gets much closer to the promised high of -9. Instead, I’m spending this day off planning a return trip to Italy. There’s a news item that the Tiber river is threatening to flood Rome because of the torrential rains, but I’d take rain over the ridiculous temperature right now.
